The founding fathers and pilgrims were illegal immigrants.
@Frank_n_Furter Yeah WHILE THEY WERE DOING IT. By thay point it's a bit to late to form a government and make immigration laws...

I just copied my comment from below:

The natives actually welcomed settelers because they believed that the new, powerful presence would scare off the Pequots from attacking other tribes.
The pilgrims actually bought the land from the natives and when land was taken illegally (and there were laws regarding this), there was a trial and, more often than not, the native american won the case and continued living on it.
Even after the land was being sold to the Pilgrims, the native americans were still allowed to hunt on the land becuase this allowed fur and meat to be traded for a mutual benefit.
The idea that the pilgrims were supporters of racism a myth.

Nobody spouted nonsense better than Sarah Palin, amirite?

Actually, Sarah Palin is one of the most intelligent leaders that we have had. It is really sad that her image has been so contorted by the media.

The founding fathers and pilgrims were illegal immigrants.

War is not a neccessary evil.

War is often necessary, and when it is, if for the right reasons and against the right people, it is not evil.
Oppression of people by their own government is real and occurs is so many countries. When a group of people is suffering from tyrannical government, it is never evil to rid it from power and in its place, build a new one that can truely represent its own people in a non-degrading way.
"Evil" is defined by the absence of morals.
When a government pays no respect to a group of people's beliefs- or even existance, for that matter!- it is, in fact, by definition, evil.

Shame on people who profiteer from human tragedy.
It's good that health insurance costs for Americans will rise 116% per person in 2014 because of the Affordable Care Act, amirite?

Studies have shown that there when the price of something increases, the more affordable it becomes... or not.

I'd rather have more security than freedom.
@DevonHollander With the number of murders and senseless crimes I think people should lose some of their rights until it gets under...

Actually, in the areas where there is the most gun controll, it is found that crime rates have gone up and a large majority of the weapons that have been used to commit those crimes have already been deemed "illegal."

"A society based on and geared to the conceptual level of man's consciousness, a society dominates by a philosophy of reason, has no place for the rule of fear and guilt. Reason requires freedom, self-confidence and self-esteem... Intellectual freedom cannot exist without political freedom; political freedom cannot exist without economic freedom; a free mind and a free market are corollaries." -Ayn Rand

@VicZinc Excellent. Hope your future posts are in your own words. You are articulate and obviously clever. We (amiriters)...

Haha! Thank you! Well I plan on running for congress after I graduate from law school in about 7 years so you could have the opportunity to see more of my words later! :P

@VicZinc Glad you are enjoying the books. She has some great ideas. I hope you will take the time to read the other side...

I've tried to read read that garbage. In economics, there are four types of resource: land, labor, capital (machinery), and entrepreneurialism. The ideals of communism- and those of the other political groups that Advocare for larger government- cannot satisfy the demand of resources through its policy; entrepreneurs become fewer in numbers due to the lack of incentives to start a business; capital and land become unused because there will be a lack of people who have the ability to fund operation or cultivation; and labor will suffer in numbers because there will be a lack of people who have the means of hiring them.

"The man who lives by brute force, at the whim and mercy of the moment, lives on a narrow island suspended in a fog of the unknown, where invisible threats and unpredictable disasters can descend upon him any morning. He is willing to surrender his consciousness to the man who offers him protection against those intangible questions which he does not wish to consider, yet dreads." -Ayn Rand
@Thumper Ayn Rand gets so much flak, but she is one of my favorite authors. I've read fountainhead countless times and it...

I'm reading For the New Intellectual.
I have to admit, I hate her views on religion, but her economic views are amazing!

It would be a good idea to legalize drugs, but make it illegal to be high/drunk in public, and everyone would be accountable for any crimes they commit when they're high/drunk. This way, we're not infringing upon the rights of the citizens, but also not putting other citizens in danger, amirite?

Soooooo... They aren't accountable already? Hhhmmmm..... Then why is there no one listening to the law?!?! It can't possibly be because they're too intoxicated to think straight!

"[The liberties given by the Constitution] are only protected by a parchment- by words. They may be destroyed whenever it shall be admitted that the strict and common sense of words may be construed away." -Albert Gallatin, 1799. There was a reason why the greatest minds this country had to offer spent four months in Independence Hall drafting what would be the most important document in the world. Know the Constitution. Know your freedoms.
@swimlax This is my number one problem with the government. I'm no anarchist, but after studying Andrew Jackson, I've...

There are many people in office who don't want the government to be an omnipotent force. Unfortunately, those elected to office more commonly reflect the philosophy of Hobbes rather than of Locke.

As evident in the L.A. Riots, someone cannot save his family or his business from a violent and merciless mob with only a pistol. Assult rifles are necessary. It's a scary concept, but it's real.
@Izzie_23 That happend once and it was 20 years ago. Yes people will have guns but no matter how big the gun is another will...

Our Founding Fathers wanted the Anerican people to be able to protect themselves from a government that disregarded Constitutional Law. That is why we are granted with the ability to own weapons.
