About me.

▬ Hey hey, my name's Randi! It's short for Miranda, but I never go by that. I'm 18 and still act like a five-year-old. I don't really do sports -- bad joints -- but I love yoga.
▬ I hate wearing pants, but I love jeggings.
▬ I eat constantly. I love to cook, bake, anything involving food. Luckily my metabolism is fast enough to compensate for the obscene amount I eat.
▬ I'm from the south. I love comfort food, sweet tea with enough sugar to give me a sugar coma, and bluegrass jam sessions.
▬ I work in a local Greek restaurant as a hostess and I absolutely love it.
▬ Reading is probably my favorite way to spend a lazy afternoon. I read everything from Sarah Dessen to Dickens. (The Truth About Forever and A Tale of Two Cities by them, respectively, are tied as my favorite books, alongside The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
▬ I absolutely adore music. There's always a song playing in my head. I listen to everything. My iPod -- named James P. Sullivan -- contains songs from pretty much every genre. Favorite bands/musicians? Minus the Bear, Britney Spears, Two Door Cinema Club, and Holy Ghost Tent Revival. I tend to like odd band names, and odd music.
▬ I love Glee, and I won't apologize for it. Guilty pleasures I also won't apologize for include Selena Gomez's music, watching PBS, Lil Wayne and all of Young Money, Aqua, occasionally using sippy cups (but only for orange juice because it tastes better that way) and coloring in coloring books. I also adore romance novels. Preferably Nora Roberts, but I'll read others occasionally.
▬ I'm a sarcastic -- and often sardonic -- optimist.
▬ Next year I'll be going to college! I'm incredibly excited to have way more freedom. And I'm so excited to learn. High school has been interesting, but there hasn't been much learning for me. It's mostly just busy work to get everyone to pass. I have no idea what I'm going to do for sure. Right now it's child psychology, but I love languages and genetics.
▬ I can't stand Romeo and Juliet, American cheese, and the sounds of people chewing loudly.
▬ When I listen to music, I don't pay attention to the lyrics at first. Without lyrics, music is still music. Without music, lyrics are just poetry. I hear the singer's voice as an instrument. The music speaks far more eloquently to me. I like to notice the intricacy of the melodies, the timbre of the singer's voice, rather than focus on the lyrics. If a song has crappy music, it doesn't matter how good the lyrics are. It's still crappy music. After I like a band for a while, they I'll learn the lyrics, and it'll add to the experience of the amazing music.
▬ I like to make new friends, so don't be afraid to message me!
▬ So now I have no idea what to say. And if you've read all this, you're awesome... or bored. I'll go with awesome.
