We all want the freedom to express ourselves, but many take exception when others express themselves in disagreement. Example, I have to walk past your church everyday and see the huge cross on the wall, it offends me greatly and I want it taken down. The church freely chose to put the cross there so that members of the community could easily identify it as a Christian place of worship and community relief. The person demanding that it be taken down is choosing freely to object to the church's freedom. Is this one's freedom of faith repressing the freedom of faith of another?

There is no freedom from offense. Nobody gives offense, you have to take it. You are free to decline to take it.

Some people are like onions, just peel back the layers and you will discover that they are really just smaller less secure onions.

So suddenly the world is flooded with aliebns. What's that about?

Introverts enjoy people-watching, extroverts enjoy people watching.

Yeah, ok, but what are aliebns?

Look out for #1.

And don't step in #2 either.

You talk too much.

...a regular WASP show and suddenly there is a man in a turban. What does that say to you?

A turban (from Persian دولبند‌, dulband; via Middle French turbant) is a type of headwear based on cloth winding. Featuring many variations, it is worn as customary headwear by men of various countries.[1] Communities with prominent turban-wearing traditions can be found in the Indian Subcontinent, Afghanistan, South Asia, the Arabian Peninsula, the Middle East, the Near East, Central Asia, North Africa, the Horn of Africa, the Sahel, and parts of the Swahili Coast.[disputed – discuss]

Wearing turbans is common among Sikhs, including women,.[2] The headgear also serves as a religious observance, including among Shia Muslims, who regard turban-wearing as Sunnah Mu'akkadah (confirmed tradition).[3]

Additionally, turbans have often been worn by nobility, regardless of religious background. They are also sometimes donned to protect hair or as a headwrap for women following cancer treatments.[4]

If you see a turban in USA, it is almost certainly worn by a Sikh, which is either an ethnic group or a religion, both from India.

Now suppose you explain WTF a "regular WASP show" is.

The world as you know it is in danger. Would you be on the side trying to save it, or on the side trying to destroy it?

Daniel said it was coming, and Jesus said it would be worse than anything ever before. I'm just waiting for the horn.

The election is over. Give it up.

There is a profession called "shock jock".

The modern term means jesting, but originally "wit" meant knowledge. In a court trial, somebody who had knowledge in the case might be called to give his wit-ness. The resemblance between wit and humor has been lost.

Have you ever taken a Polaroid?

In 1979 I bought a button making machine and went to flea markets. I would take a picture of someone and put it on a button. I supported myself for one whole summer that way.

Do you ever start writing a response to a post, then realize how personal it is, and delete it?

At least once a day.

The problem is that a man needs female companionship, and many women have no idea what that means, so they wait for the guy to make the first move. The guy is guessing, so his first guess is sex. Then the gal will open up and discuss what she actually has in mind. If anything.

Miracle molecule from licorice root nullifies liver damage from alcohol and Tylenol

I checked out the site. It's not necessarily bad information, but the flood of information is a giveaway that it is maybe not useful. All the information is presented as if it had never been known before this publication, and there is no basic knowledge presented to support anything.

For instance, people do not need to be told that homework causes microaggression, whatever that is, they need to be told some basic principles of how to study. But that does not stir up hidden feelings about the system.

I downloaded a few of the earthshaking reports. I'll get back to you if I find anything worth talking about.

Those students who were always at the top of your class with the best grades... Were you one of them? Are they making more money now?

I have known some very successful people and they all had one thing in common: they did not know how they did it. They only knew it took a lot of effort. So if somebody else couldn't do it, they assumed it must be because he was lazy.
