There has to be a god. If not, what are all the churches for and who is jesus' dad. amirite?

Are you serious? You can't use a point as proof for a conclusion when the point you are using is the conclusion. Example: Aliens built the pyramids, they had to have built them, or else they wouldn't have been there!

We should shoot water at the sun to stop global warming, amirite?
@mchalla3 Wouldn't the water evaporate before it even hit the sun?

Yes, but technically it would still be water, and it would still reach the sun because gravity would be pulling it towards the suns centre.

We should shoot water at the sun to stop global warming, amirite?

I am almost certain that shooting water at the sun would make it worse. The increase in water would increase it's mass, in return increasing the gravitational pull on the plasma. This would result in the sun increasing it's rate of fusion to maintain an equillibrium between gravity and the outwards radiation pressure, therefore releasing more energy and making the Earth hotter.

Before every possible dangerous accident that occurs in your life, your brain could just trick you into thinking that didn't actually happen, and your life from that moment on is just your dreams while you're in the hospital in a coma. amirite?
@CanadiaNDP Well, I must be pretty damn smart to be able to know complex science equations and also know all the parts of a...

If the reality was completely created by your brain then you wouldn't really need to be that smart.

God is real (now let's just see how many yes's and no's we get here) amirite?

If there is no proof that something exists then it doesn't exist- logically speaking that is. The reason that the burden of proof falls to the believer is that only one simple thing needs to be proven in order to win the debate, they have to prove that God exists. The fact that one can't prove that He isn't real isn't proof that he is, while the fact that one can't prove that He is real is evidence that He isn't.

Creationists don't seem to understand that a scientific hypothesis can only be proved right by proving it null hypothesis wrong. And, since evolution and intelligent design are not even close to being null hypotheses of each other, pointing out flaws in evolution does not strengthen intelligent design, amirite?
@There is more than the Christian definition of creationism out there. Ever hear of 'first cause'? I hate dumb...

First cause argument: Everything has a cause, including the universe, so let's create an unobservable deity who- for some reason- doesn't need a cause, to explain how the universe was created instead of realising that by the laws of quantum mechanics it is perfectly plausible for the universe to exist without a cause.

Snatch is a great word, it just rolls off the tounge and is fun to say, amirite?

I love the feeling of snatch on my tongue!

Using abreviations like LOL and G2G while texting is understandable, but using them when talking in person is just lazy and annoying. amirite?

It is also completely unnecessary, as saying "Got to go" or "laugh out loud" takes tge same amount of energy as saying "G2G" or "LOL"

Jehovah's witnesses don't celebrate Halloween, I guess they don't appreciate random people coming up to their doors. amirite?

295 YYAs, and 0 NWs?! You are a hero!

You have your own mental list of words that are fun to say. amirite?

Pamplemousse

It would make a lot of sense to refuse paranoid schizophrenics, depression victims, or people with a criminal record the right to bear arms for the safety of themselves and others. I understand it's a violation of freedom, but it's a small price to pay to save countless lives, amirite?
@They had gun control in Germany when Hitler took power.

There is also gun control in modern-day Canada, which was named the smartest country in the world in 2011. One single law doesn't define freedom
or democracy, it is a combination of rights, laws, and responsibilities that leads to democracy. I personally believe that guns are completely unnecessary for civillians to own, and America would be a much safer place without private firearms.

Everything for a germ is a massive cliff; the bristles of your toothbrush are their deathly hallows, amirite?

I don't think you understand what a Deathly Hallow is....

Time machines will never be invented, otherwise we'd already have them from someone who brought htem back from the future. amirite?
Time machines will never be invented, otherwise we'd already have them from someone who brought htem back from the future. amirite?
@Bitzinator If they came back from the future and brought us time machines it would illiminate the need for us to invent them...

What you said was logical, but it seemed somewhat circular when you were explaining it. I understood though.

Time machines will never be invented, otherwise we'd already have them from someone who brought htem back from the future. amirite?
@Bitzinator If they came back from the future and brought us time machines it would illiminate the need for us to invent them...

Exactly, that is what I was arguing. Bringing a time machine back in the same reality would be impossible because of the paradoxes it would create.
