Some users have forsaken Amirite and the new admin way too easily. Much of what he/she's done is justified. It's understandable to remove spiteful posts because it creates an environment that is impossible to enjoy. If we keep up this negativity, there is no hope for this website. I hate it.
Apparently, it was originally around so candidates would campaign everywhere, not just in states with large populations.
Now, the people who get **** over are in heavily liberal or conservative states, which sucks just as much. I've lived in Illinois (albeit before I was of voting age) which is a hardcore blue state, and now live in Utah, where I am registered to vote.
Regardless of my political party, my vote will be either redundant or cancelled out among many, unless i live in a swing state.

The concept of sending the elderly off to a nursing home would leave many cultures completely appalled, since in most places and ancient times the elderly were looked up to and cherished for their wisdom. To us, they simply become a burden once they can't take care of themselves anymore, amirite?

It's strange that a lot of humans see themselves as separate from other animals in the animal kingdom in two distinct groups: human and non human animals. There's really nothing special about people other than their intelligence, in the same way there's nothing special about a cheetah other than running at 70 mph and keen hunting instincts. There's no reason for humans to think of themselves as special or seperate ... amirite?

Colebowl I just read every comment you had to offer on this post and I've come to the conclusion that you're just incredibly ignorant to this subject. Being better is just being on top. If you have the ability to beat someone at something using any means possible, you're better. Take the food chain for instance. We hunt for food. We may not have the ability to just get meat by killing animals with our bare hands. We need tools, where is where our intelligence came into play. We hunted and hunted and now there are thousands of species that are going instinct because of it. I promise you that there won't be a time EVER where you will see zoo's filled with humans as an endangered species. We are on top because we have the ability to hunt something to near extinction and then have the right mindset and thought process to help them breed back into healthy numbers again. If you can think of an example where other species have EVER done that I might just agree with your post. until then i'm afraid i'm going to think we're better.

If I were black, I would most likely get into any college I applied for. Since I'm white, however, I'll probably get denied by all the Ivy League schools and other prestigious universities, such as MIT.
Considering what college we get into plays an enormous role in our career success, I think there is nothing wrong with complaining about the naked discrimination that is affirmative action.
