Sexism is not directional. Any behavior or paradigm that threatens the dignity of one sex inevitably threatens the dignity of the other in some way that is often directly related, and therefore becomes a crime not against women or men but against humanity, and must be terminated for the sake of both sexes, not only as sexes, but as people. It's ridiculous how people compare gay rights and marriage to African american rights and slavery, it's something our society needs to work on but the degree of how severe the problem is isn't as bad, at least they're not forced to do hard labour picking cotton from fields for hours a day, and then beaten, raped, malnourished, ect.
While all humans have to right to equivalency in human rights, the law, and intelligence, genders are inherently unequal. This is not implying one is superior to the other, but that males and females are naturally different in terms of thought and other aspects.
Marriage: a union between people, called spouses, that establishes rights and obligations. Nobody is saying anything about the gender of the spouses, or about their numbers. What’s the big deal if two girls want to marry a guy, or three guys want to marry a girl, or six guys want to marry each other, who cares? Why is this even a point of contention? Amirite?
It sucks how feminism has a bad rep because of women who want better rights than men. The word that describes the want of equal rights between men and women shouldn't be looked down on as much as it is just because some misandristic women label themselves as feminists, amirite?
The mere act of applying for a marriage license from the government, heterosexual couple or not, denies any supremacy to God. When you apply for a license to do something, that obviously insinuates a right to deny. If it is a Godly union, and a God given right, I don't see how anyone could consider the legal version of marriage holy matrimony, and therefore deny same-sex couples marriage equality. They are not the same thing, amirite?
A common argument I hear against gay marriage Is " What about the people who don't support gay marriage? Don't their rights matter too?" How exactly are their rights being taken away? I don't drink but my rights aren't being taken away simply because other people can drink alcohol if they want to. Legalizing gay marriage only has a negative effect on people who can't deal with something they don't agree with being permitted for others. You don't have to go to a gay wedding if you don't want to.
It's nice to see so many people sticking up for the equality of various different groups who have been mistreated over the years, but it seems that nobody is standing up for the equal treatment of the only group that has been mistreated since the dawn of man; the ugly people. Amirite?
The USA has balls admonishing other countries regarding a lack of women's rights. The US is one of only four countries in the world that does not have mandatory paid maternity leave. (The other three are Lesotho, Swaziland and Papua New Guinea). Talk about glasshouses. Amirite?
Sadie Hawkins dances are the exact opposite of empowerment for women. All they do is reinforce the social dictation that women cannot ask men to dances, and in order to remedy this, they have to create a completely different event for themselves, instead of just standing up for the rights that they already have and not caving to society's norms, amirite?
