Just another fight in the street between 2 men that ended with one being killed. No racial motive or hate crime involved whatsoever. The black leaders in this country are really showing their true colors and racism on this issue, and it is extremely demeaning to watch.

If the killer askes you for your last words, you should say, "You spelled 'asks' wrong. You don't need the 'e'." He'd be so grateful he wouldn't want to kill you anymore. Then you can both go to Baskin Robins and watch people eat really expensive ice cream because neither of you is willing to pay five bucks for a single scoop of vanilla.

Firstly, it doesn't make sense people are expected to call blacks 'african-american' in the US. There are white africans, too. And a person who has never been to Africa is not African. The second part of this is we call caucasians 'white', so why is it wrong to call a person black?

Also, a person of a race other than white can cry racism for anything. A recent example is the Trayvon Martin case. The man who killed him is half hispanic and half white, but they are mainly calling him a white man, and the 911 call was edited to make it seem like he was following the kid because he was black. If the man was being called hispanic it wouldn't be as likely to be called a racist crime than when he is being called white (if that makes sense, there are better examples..)

Obviously my controversal opinions are about race, and since I am not, and don't want to be considered racist I keep them to myself. White people have to be more cautious about what they say about/to a person of a different race, where a different race has more freedom to say something about a white person.

I know, I know... holy novel!

I'm Catholic and I despise the church's stance on homosexuality. Religion shouldn't have anything to do with the government and gay people should be able to get married.
Also, there are way too many stupid people. We should get rid of seat belt and helmet laws and let natural selection run it's course again. God knows we need it.

Oh great, you're going to go through any pro-gay anti-religion post and accuse people of being self-righteous and uncontroversial. That is not the point of the question. I am not asking about controversy in comparison to other teenagers or this website. The fact is that most people are religious, most people are against gay marriage, and having these opinions in the world at large is controversial. Ergo, controversial opinion and nothing wrong with providing that as your answer.

I do have some controversial/minority opinions, but I don't mind sharing them with others. For example, I'm an atheist (one of about 6 at my school), I believe the US should kill the dollar bill, and I don't think communism is really all that bad.

Actually, i think properly read would be in if you read the original Latin versions. Unfortunate they really aren't around. The Bible itself has great knowledge, but it also has some terrible parts that are too blatant for the religious to spin positively.

The Bible presents life as real life. It does not gloss over the "bad" or "evil" that exists within humanity. I guess it could have left all those parts out, but for what reason. And as far as original languages, you left our Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.

Not at all what I'm saying. What I'm saying is it'd make more sense for the government to address REAL issues before addressing dudes wanting to marry other dudes.

Hey now. I wasn't going to respond to this but that's enough. My parents were both legal immigrants to this country and they both worked their ASSES work to get where they are today. They took slurs, disgusted looks, and rude people overall and turned the other cheek. Point is, you need to prove yourself if you are an immigrant and that's exactly want they did. I'm all for immigration into this country, but it's also important to establish yourself as a worthy person and deal with the people who don't support you. Stuff just doesn't get handed to you and the fact that you made it this far is good news enough. So please don't complain that immigrants aren't treated fairly when basic human rights are at stake here as well, alright?

Read the post again... the post really isn't related to this. I'm simply stating that every claim religion makes is eventually disproved. You can believe in science and religion, but when science disproves a religious claim again the world's religions will likely adapt a new unexplained event that they claim is from God. The process continues like this and has been doing so for ages.

Every claim religion (and the post is talking about Abrahamic religions) makes is eventually EXPLAINED by science. Not disproved. Just because we understand evolution better now does not mean that it proves an omnipotent being had no part in it.

Just because we have an idea of the big bang doesn't mean there isn't a God who intended that to happen.

Please separate theocracy with theism in your mind, because it's unfair to use the stupid moves of people in charge (using weather as a moral punishment) as evidence that there is no God.

Good result? With almost two hundred civilians dead and thousands injured? But of course nobody cares because they aren't Israeli.
And it's not like the cease fire has been held up because Israel continues to attack the Palestinians shooting and killing mostly children.
And it won't stay that way because Israel won't stop until Palestine ceases to exist.

The ratio of civilian/terrorist deaths is the best ratio of any country in the world that is fighting asymmetrical warfare against terrorists who hide behind civilians. It is far better than the ratio achieved by Great Britain and the United States in Iraq or Afghanistan, where both nations employ targeted killings of terrorist leaders.

So yeah, great result actually. It seems like you forget we're in war, civilians die. During that war, Israel dropped leaflets into the Gaza warning them for attacks, they dropped 'Roof Knockers', which are loud but non-lethal bombs warning people they are in a targeted zone, they used pinpoint strike to minimize harm to bystanders and they actually had a couple of aborting airstrikes, you can look all of this up. What did the Hamas do to minimize harm to Israeli civilians? Nothing. Thank **** for the Iron Dome Defense system, otherwise the Farj-5 missiles which the Hamas received from Iran would've directly hit Tel-Aviv and wouldn't have been shot out of the sky.
