We were in the middle of a chemistry lab when our demonstrator told us about a girl in America who was doing an experiment without a lab coat on, she did something wrong and the experiment exploded, her jumper caught on fire, she ran the wrong way from the shower, and died.
Was great fun trying to carry on with our experiment after that little story.

My friend dropped out of one of the best universities in England and everyone is shocked when she tells them. But they don't know she hated her course and dropped out to go to film school and get a degree in film making instead, which is what she's always wanted to do, they just see she dropped out of UCL.
I think that if you want to do anything other than run your own business it's always better to have a degree in something, because you're being hired by someone on your credentials. If a job position comes down to two people side by side, the employer is almost always going to choose the person with a degree because it shows dedication to work and sticking things out.

For some reason I just cannot stand orange juice past its due date, it tastes really weird. But anything other than that I might consider eating.

Actually yeah that's true, juice does taste really strange pretty soon after the date. I don't drink that.

I agree but I would feel wrong eating something that's a week past the expiration date, even if it seemed like it was good to eat.

Like colebowl said, I just go by what it looks like/smells like. A year of uni did that to me haha, buying your own food gets very expensive.

As long as it doesn't smell rotten I'll eat it. I've eaten yogurt 6 weeks "expired" and I didn't get diarrhea and die, it tasted fine.

The other day I caught my mum about to throw away an unopened bottle of milk because it was a day "expired". Had a bit of a go at her for that..

No one said "here" or "present" at my school during reg. It was always variations of "morning", "hi", or "yup". Don't think the teachers particularly liked it though.

There was a man who entered a local paper's pun contest. He sent in ten different puns hoping at least one of the puns would win but, unfortunately, no pun in ten did..

It took me about a day to understand this the first time I heard it.

Nope, but I remember where I was during 7/7.

Me too, I was at my school's end of term service, and the news came in and everyone panicked because many students' parents worked in London.

I don't think it's stupid, continuing to use it is less complicated than trying to switch everything. My mum still uses Fahrenheit because she was brought up using it, whereas I like Celsius because that's what I was always taught. Although I suppose it would be easier if every country used the same thing, but when does that ever happen.

It's horrible when someone realises what you've done and your item has gone from its hiding place :(

This would be less amusing to me if your username didn't have "blonde" in it.
