if apple cuts there prices then they would make less money.if they make less money then they cant afford all the technology put into thier beatiful macs and ipods. so if they cut prices be ready for the ipod 1st gen to come bak out

Your paying for the prestige of the brand, not the product. Much like brands such as D&G and Louis Vuitton bags which perform the same as many other good quality bags at a lower price. By keeping their prices high, apple appears upper class, so people with a lot of disposable income can buy their products, allowing them to have large profit margins on their products.

I think they should, but by a business standpoint, absolutely not. They are decent products sold at an inflated price, and people buy it, creating a large profit.
