It will be great when facial piercings go out of style, they're so gross. amirite?
by Anonymous14 years ago
depends, do you consider tounge piercings a facial piercing?
by Anonymous14 years ago
No, but I can't talk to someone when they are wearing a tongue ring. It's distracting and the idea of all the bacteria build up around them makes me cringe when I think about it. If you haven't seen what happens to people's tongues that wear those rings for a long time, you really should google it.
by Anonymous14 years ago
not to sound sexist, but personally i think tongue piercings look better on guys. Not the emo guys though, an not ugly guys, but for example, shane kippel has a tongue piercing, and it looks good on him. if you dont know who he is, hes on degrassi. lol
by Anonymous14 years ago
I know everyone has their own opinion and to each his own, right? But personally, I can't find a single thing about tongue rings attractive on anybody. That's just me. I've always seen it as a fad someone marketed really well and like cattle to the slaughter, well, you get the picture.
by Anonymous14 years ago
i would never get my tongue pierced, it would most likely hurt.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Yeah, it does.. bit right through my tongue one time but it heals really fast.
by Anonymous14 years ago
so did i, in second grade. It was a tag accident. lol
by Anonymous14 years ago
i know from personal experience, a tounge piercing doesn't hurt at all... the worse part is the swelling for a few days afterward, and if you keep and anti inflammatory in you it won't be bad at all!
most definitely the least painful piercing I've gotten!
by Anonymous14 years ago
You got it to suck better dick, didn't you?
by Anonymous1 year ago
They make your tongue swell and get inflamed and leave you talking like someone with Down's syndrome since they speak like they do since they also have an oversize tongue in their mouth.
by Anonymous1 year ago
maybe if a guy with a tongue ring goes down on you, you'll change your mind ;)
by Anonymous14 years ago
degrassi is the best show ever and shane kippel is so hot =)
by Anonymous14 years ago
I think facial peircings are attractive, but not when they're overdone.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I want to get my tongue pierced but I do agree. Tongue + Lip piercings are the only facial piercings I wouldn mind.
by Anonymous14 years ago
only some of them are gross
by Anonymous14 years ago
i agree, they are gross. except for ear piercings, obviously.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I think hair with lots of gel or hairspray in it is gross, along with over an inch-long talon fake nails. I don't find anything gross about piercings, because a clean person will take good care of them the same way they take care of the rest of their body. However, I do agree tongue rings are a bad idea in the long run... having that metal in your mouth breaks down the enamel on your teeth over time, as well as chips and break you get from biting it on accident. Yes, I'm aware that they have acrylic jewelery- if you go that route, better always have extra, because my friends have swallowed dozens of them in their sleep or while eating. But regular piercings in the skin of your face are no grosser or harder to keep clean than earrings.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I was referring to how I think they are gross to look at but thank you for your opinion too.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Well I have my septum pierced and my tongue pierced twice. That sounds ridiculously gross if you haven't saw them though. My septum ring is small and suits my nose, and you can't even see my tongue rings unless I show you them. Also in terms of hygiene, my tongue rings are too far back to interfere with my teeth and it's not hard to clean them at all.
by Anonymous14 years ago
There so is nothing gross about it. Anything that's overdone is disgusting. I have ten earrings and an eyebrow ring and i have very conservative people coming over to me all the time telling me how tastefully it's done.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Ok, but I wouldn't be able to look at you.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Wow... it takes a teeny, tiny, narrow mind to have difficulty looking at someone because you disapprove of their jewelery. You admit that you used "gross" not out of any actual dirtiness, but just because it's not your preference. The world is going to be very upsetting for you, princess... just stay around all the preppy, ultra-conformed people you're probably comfortable with, and you won't have to worry about people's strange and rebellious fashion choices.
Oh yeah, and I agree hair with a lot of product in it is gross. Blech.
by Anonymous14 years ago
And of course, you have such a big open mind with yours being the only opinion that matters... amirite?
by Anonymous14 years ago
I don't like tattoos either if you want to take the time to slam me for holding that personal opinion as well.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Conformed because they don't want piercing in your face, like half the other teenagers nowadays? No one is a nonconformist anymore. No one.
by Anonymous14 years ago
also who says preppy people can't have multiple piercings? thats pretty narrow minded, if you ask me.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Preppy kids don't have facial piercings, besides a nose piercing. It just doesn't fit.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Think about how long piercings and tattoos have been around.
They aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I am sure they were quite deep and meaningful back before there was written language and people dressed in animal pelts for clothes. We've advanced since those days. You live in a house not a tunnel in some rocks you light fires inside for warmth. Leave tattoos and piercings to Otzi the Iceman and modern day indigenous people who have cultural precedents for those body mods. You're just some meta-ironic hipster who likes them to be cooler than the millions of others that have piercings and ink too.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I recovered my password to my 13 YO account to follow up on a 13 YO comment just to ask you what you feel like you've accomplished with this reply?
My comment still stands and you were probably still sucking on your mom's tit when I made it.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I am older than you, fruitbag. Only an insecure millennial who lives and dies by the external opinions of superficial people would have to defend their stupid views from 13 years ago. Cope and seethe
by Anonymous1 year ago
Now I'm completely flabbergasted. You initially replied to a 13 YO comment then have the audacity to be irked that I replied to you?
Did you just not realize you were replying to such an old comment or what? Now you're trying to play it off by making mediocre insults?
Make that make sense.
by Anonymous1 year ago
You claimed you are older than me and I refuted that assertion. Stay mad, tattoo boy. I thought you pinheads get inked since you DON'T care what people think lmao. Meanwhile you're so up your own ass with your view about tattoos you unearth an old account to defend your lame views about tattoos.
by Anonymous1 year ago
You still didn't answer if you even realized you were replying to such an old comment.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Nah, I'm cool with everyone's opinion. I mean, when I run into a girl with big, nasty, teased hair full of hairspray, I just look at her tits instead. I probably wouldn't bang her, but I wouldn't have trouble looking at her.
by Anonymous14 years ago
You make me smile.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Tattoos are art. You sound like you just had some kind of strict, conservative, and possibly religious upbringing; a common cause of narrow-mindedness. It's cool; takes all kinds to make a world. If it wasn't for people like you, there wouldn't be anything to rebel against.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Art takes many forms but this is one I don't have any appreciation for
by Anonymous14 years ago
LoL. This is suprisingly a very argumentive topic. Personally I like snake bites because of how they look i guess. Their actually a kind of turn on for some people I think.(Me for one). But i guess it just depends on personal prefrence.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I want to clip a dog's pull chain to people's snakebites and then loop the chain around the trailer hitch of pickup truck as somebody floors it lol.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I think one or two look fine. I think it's gross if someone has tons of facial piercings though. Like, both nostrils, both eyebrows, snake bites, a monroe, and their septum then they've gone too far. I know I have my nose pierced, and it doesn't look bad. It's not big or anything.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I like them! Just don't go overboard.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Lol I'm fine with them and I really want my nose peirced but my parents won't let me cause they're like, extremely religious and they think it's "destroying the temple of God" I don't understand...my ears are pierced and that's fine but not my nose! lol
by Anonymous14 years ago
I usually don't mind piercings but one time I saw a group of friends, each with at least 10 piercings on their faces! And one of them had at least 20. It was truthfully impossible to see her skin! Ever since those guys I have started to perceive piercings differently
by Anonymous14 years ago
Nah, I like the look of piercings. I agree that it can be definitely overdone, but they can definitely enhance some people's appearances. I'd like to get a labret piercing some time, maybe next summer if my parents let me, but I wouldn't do anything other than that. My sister has her septum pierced and seeing her with it I wouldn't ever want one.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I bet you smoke weed and eat ass too. You sound like a complete degenerate
by Anonymous1 year ago
i have 15 piercings, 3 of those on my face... tounge, nose and lip... most people don't even notice my nose ring, or my tounge ring, and they do make plastic bars for tounge piercings!
i don't see anything wrong with any piercings as long as you don't over do it as people have said already.
Piercings aren't a new practice, its been around for like all time, there are cave paintings of people getting their ears pierced, and in ancient cultures piercings meant certain things or set you to a social status and some times even showed royalty
by Anonymous14 years ago
Regardless of how long it has be around or not, I don't want to look at it.. I don't find any attraction to it whatsoever and by the looks of the votes on this post, I'm not alone..
by Anonymous14 years ago
if you don't find any attraction to piercings then maybe you should just close your eyes forever... its here and its going to stay!
Honestly, if a guy doesn't have some kind of piercing i don't find him very attractive... it shows he's been through some pain and knows how to buy jewelry
I think I want to go get another piercing now... hmmmm what should i get this time... eyebrow maybe...
by Anonymous14 years ago
Oh wow, you're pretty funny...I hope you have higher standards than piercing pain (which you all claim is minimal by-the-way) for guy to live up to. Talk about shallow, you just made my point for me sister. This is a very shallow practice and reflects who you are. Oh and pierce away if you must, makes it easier to spot the shallow people.
by Anonymous14 years ago
No that's not all the qualities a guy has to have for me to be interested, but its the only thing that applied to this post...
my boyfriend is in college, and going into the navy... he is smart, handsome, and has goals, he wants a family, and is perfect for me. He is an amazing guy!
by Anonymous14 years ago
Good thing he has a piercing because according to you he wouldn't have a chance... do you even know how shallow that is?
by Anonymous14 years ago
its not shallow, its knowing what i like.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Grow up little girl, its shallow! Call it whatever you want but it is what it is.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I have piercings because i find them beautiful-decorations on my body. I am not shallow, i dont really give a damn what you think or anyone else. I have them because i like them, same for tattoos
by Anonymous14 years ago
Did you even read what you wrote before you posted it or do you not know what it means to be shallow?
by Anonymous14 years ago
Trust me they notice, they're just trying not to stare.
by Anonymous14 years ago
nah, people around here are pretty accepting of piercings and tattoos...
by Anonymous14 years ago
Then you are choosing to live in your own little bubble.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Ancient peoples used to sacrifice rivals to ensure a good harvest and cooked and ate their vanquished enemies. They also used to live in caves. Go live in the wilderness half naked and smoke ayahuasca if you want to really live like those ancient peoples
by Anonymous1 year ago
I have four facial piercings. An eyebrow, and three lip piericngs. Tongue piercing, too. They aren't gross if you take care of them. So, please, suck up your little pet peeve and accept people as they are and don't complain about their way of individuality.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Sorry, just because you and others want to mark up your face with these things and you whine for me to accept it isn't going to change my mind. I think the human face is beautiful without all that distraction. And from the looks of things I'm part of the majority, so maybe you better suck it up that not everyone is going to accept it.
by Anonymous14 years ago
maybe they should take a look at the bible. In those days even the men had nose rings.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Have you read the bible?
by Anonymous14 years ago
Are nose rings gross? I have one, and its just a pretty little diamond. The size of a shiny freckle.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Whhaa!! No way i LOVE piercings. I have snake bites and my nose done but i do reckon there should be an age limit to piercings.
by Anonymous14 years ago
The worlds oldest discovered mummified man's body had a lot of piercings and tattoos. It is beyond a fad for many people. A large amount of modified people are not doing it for its popularity or how it is trendy.
Piercings and tattoo's are not only a fetish for some but a spiritual thing for others. They go beyond a fashion fad that comes and goes like leggings and lego hair.
I have tattoo's from on the head down and 30 piercings, with only 5 on one ear and 2 on the other. I wont go into detail but needless to say you wont be looking at me, thankfully for me as no way would we get along. It may be a majority hate, but it is still intolerance and discriminatory. Sure some people do it to rebel and look cool. Some of us have it for beliefs and enhancement, slam other peoples beliefs and keep a narrow mind. At the end of the day you will never learn much of lifes gifts as you are busy trying to belittle those who share this world that is troubled enough without you trying to nit ...
by Anonymous14 years ago
When you make yourself a spectacle you should be prepared to take the criticism.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Thats the cool thing about piercings. If someone is narrow-minded enough to judge just because of piercings, I don't want to talk to them. Haha.
by Anonymous14 years ago
You're not some prehistoric cave person, and probably not some indigenous person where they have those out of tradition and deep cultural meaning. You're probably just some vapid soulless modern person who thinks they can pierce and ink their way into deep meaning and relevance your personality and life lacks, and that's why people stare at you and give you a bad time for your tatts and extra metal baubles across your head and body.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Well i'm jewish so i know the Torah, many parts by heart, which would be equivalent to the Old Testament.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Good for you.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I guess what bothers me the most about piercing and tattoos is seeing some dead beat parent covered head to toe with one or both bragging about them while puffing on a cigarette with their four pack a day habit while they are complaining about child support they can't pay because its too high but all the money they spend on these things could go to feed their kids which should be their first priority. Those people make the rest of you look just as bad. These are all selfish, shallow habits.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I'm going to go ahead and assume that you're a preppy little bitch, which I can do. since you assume that all people with piercings are shallow. the people you hang out with, are the shallow ones. sorry, but it's true. I have zero facial piercings, but I have enough respect to let people individualize themselves without critisism. yeah, some people get piercings to rebel, but most of them do it because they WANT to. nothing else. personal choice. is it just piercings and tattoos? or do you have a problem with colored hair, plastic surgery, tanning, and anything else that is "changing the way the body naturally looks"? I'm going to go ahead and guess you think those things are fine. because people NEVER go and get giant fake boobs because they're shallow. you need to grow the fuck up and learn not to discriminate. it's discriminatory motherfuckers like you that caused segregation to go on in the US for as long it did. and STILL cause people to get judged by how they look. it's pathet...
by Anonymous14 years ago
Resorting to foul language and name calling is so mature but I do agree with you on one point... getting large fake boobs is shallow, however, some women have had to have mastectomies because of breast cancer so if they have had to get reconstructive surgery because of this then more power to them. My heart goes out to all those women. I didn't really read the rest of your post because ranting and raving foul mouthed people like yourself bore me. Resorting to foul language, as many of us know, is usually a result of a limited vocabulary. So I wish you the best in your future education, you're going to need it. Call me all the names you wish, I've been called worse than you have came up with so far. I'm expecting a lot more creativity on your post so please don't disappoint me again.
by Anonymous14 years ago
you're implying that I'm stupid. which I'm not. my deepest apologies if I "bore you". I can't deal with people who judge a book by it's cover. which you are doing. it's narrow minded, especially in today's society. like I said, I apologize. just from reading about certain types of people that I would usually assume are stupid or not worth anyone's time, I can't judge people. the town I'm from, is a really tolerant place when it comes to pretty much everything. it's just how I, and most of the people I know are. I don't care if people aren't as "chill" as I am about some things, as long as they don't riot against it. it's just unfair. but it's your opinion, and I do indeed respect it, believe it or not. I was pissed off when I wrote that. sorry for letting my anger get the best of me.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I truly appreciate you taking the time to explain yourself, I know you didn't have to do that. Just so we're clear, I was pointing out how easy it is to jump right to using expletives and it really gets us no where. And I was raised to be very tolerant but in a different direction. I respect all races and nationalities holding no prejudices for the color or lack of color in another's skin. That doesn't mean I condone their behavior. In today's society it seems that so many people demand you accept everything or you're a horrible person. There are much bigger problems than whether or not someone accepts what others do to their bodies. It takes a big person to admit when they've been rash. I can respect that. Apology accepted!
by Anonymous14 years ago
Way to offend a lot of peo
ple think about your words really I'm
a parent and I have one tattoo
and 17 pierciengs with
4 on my face I don't spend my mone
y like a idiot my child is fed as always!
Always you can't judge someone because of what they
Look like or what they have done to THEIR
Bodies! If you don't like it shove it really
by Anonymous14 years ago
Sure we can, over 600 people on this post already have... and guess what, a lot of you have judged us for having our own opinion. Imagine that.. It comes down to this, when you have only someone's appearance to make a split second judgement on then thats what happens...its human nature whether we like it or not. Deal with it.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Lol you got all those things for attention, nobody guaranteed you it'd all be positive
by Anonymous1 year ago
so what was your point?
by Anonymous14 years ago
Just making conversation
by Anonymous14 years ago
OP sorry to tell you this but someone likeing someone else because of their piercings in no way reflects their personality. Also I respect your opinion just so I don't seem to act as if mine is better.
by Anonymous14 years ago
(Fox-Cat): Sorry to tell you this but when RaindeArdilla said she wouldn't date a guy if he didn't have a piercing that is shallow. That is what you were referring to right? And I do respect your opinion as well.
by Anonymous14 years ago
of all the things to like someone (or not) about THAT is what you pick? So someone could be a rude, mean absolute jerk and miserable person to be around yet you'll align with them because they have that hawt hawwwwt piercings you like.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I dont see it as a fad, my piercings are DECORATIONS or ADORNMENTS for my body and thats what I believe to be BEAUTIFUL and it doesnt matter what anyone thinks
by Anonymous14 years ago
Its great that you feel that way about them since you choose to wear them. However, a person's appearance is the first thing others have to begin to form an opinion about another since that is their first impression. So like it or not, it matters what others think.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I understand that but my actions make up for whatever snap judgments are made upon first meeting me. I am a good student, I get good grades. Im quiet, which may weird people out, but im very nice. My boyfriend says i dont have a mean bone in my body. Im always real with people i meet and give everyone a chance, I dont dislike a person unless they have done something to make me.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I've never asked someone to see a copy of their report card in my life, have you?
by Anonymous14 years ago
no, and thats not what i was getting at. I mentioned good grades as in TEACHERS like me because im a good student, regardless of my accessories or clothing.
As for other people who do not fall into the grade judging category, I said I am a very nice person and i give EVERYONE i meet a chance...so what are you saying that my good qualities are not good enough to redeem my 'gross' piercings?
Im tryin to be nice here
by Anonymous14 years ago
Like I said, good for you but I'm never going to take someone with metal sticking out of their face seriously. You obviously have plenty of time to still grow up so maybe at some point you will out grow this self centered behavior. A lot of people do. What I'm saying is that your gross piercings are distracting me from seeing the real you. If you had any memorable quality it was erased because my eyes were trying to avoid staring into flesh encrusted metal. As a rule, I look people in the face when I'm talking to them but I just can't do that when they have a facial piercing and that's not my fault because I didn't put it there.
