by Anonymous15 years ago
Spot on.
by Anonymous15 years ago
I'm pretty sure Call of Duty didn't come up with that all on its own lol.
by Anonymous15 years ago
It's not originally from Call of Duty. I remember reading this on a page with quotes from Socrates and such. Can't remember the name though.

Cod4 quote noob
by Anonymous15 years ago
Mw2!
by Anonymous15 years ago
So true, best post I've seen all day.
by Anonymous15 years ago
That is so deep...
by Anonymous15 years ago
It's got a double meaning, it wasn't just a pun like I thought.
It didn't mean direction, it meant who's left OVER. :D
by Anonymous15 years ago
Goooood :)
by Anonymous15 years ago
A-thank you. Thank you very much.
by Anonymous15 years ago
I've never thought of war this way before . . .
by Anonymous15 years ago
totally
by Anonymous15 years ago
I like how a post from december makes it as the post of the day.
by Anonymous15 years ago
read it already.
by Anonymous15 years ago
This is also from fallout 3.
it is a joke that your servant tells you.
by Anonymous15 years ago
Stolen no intelligence required
by Anonymous15 years ago
It doesn't really matter where it's from, does it?
by Anonymous15 years ago
It does matter a little. But thats not to say that the quote itself is bad.
by Anonymous15 years ago
thats actually kind of sad, what about the people who aren't left over? war in general is sad...
by Anonymous15 years ago
it could also mean whos left as in democrats...see slightly less depressing haha
by Anonymous15 years ago
Wow! This is so powerful! :)

war is necessary
by Anonymous15 years ago
Some wars are, but some are not. Broad generalized opinions don't do well for this topic, just fyi.
by Anonymous15 years ago
This statement is not necessarily true. If the side that was "wrong" ends up winning, a revolution breaks out sooner or later. Now when I say wrong, I mean the ruler was immoral, mentally sick, or just had no idea how to rule. Some wars are fought and neither side is either right or wrong, it was just someone wanting land (or whatever) and people defending it.
by Anonymous15 years ago
Wars are only wholly bad if you're forced to believe they're wholly good.
by Anonymous15 years ago
Holy CRAP! I haven't checked my posts in a long time..
by Anonymous15 years ago
wow. that might be taken from somewhere, but ive seen like 90 posts that are just lyrics or well-known phrases.
by Anonymous15 years ago
War is like government
a sad necessity
but,
do you think we should have less war if that also means less government?
I'd say yes
by Anonymous14 years ago
I'd have to agree.
by Anonymous14 years ago
War is a good thing. Too many humans.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Well i can tell your an insincere ass. Why don't you join the army if you think people should die?
by Anonymous14 years ago
(hahaha, thought you were talking to me for a second)
Wow, Troggy, you're an educated one.
~heavy, dripping sarcasm~
by Anonymous14 years ago
I said Troggy ahaha
by Anonymous14 years ago
thats deep
by Anonymous14 years ago
Unoriginal. A famous quote. Nice try.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I never said it was mine.
Nice try.
by Anonymous14 years ago
The right people always start the goddamn wars (and by "right," I mean "right wing.")
by Anonymous14 years ago
modern warfare. -__-x
by Anonymous14 years ago
Not originally =.=
by Anonymous14 years ago
i know, but it's where most of us know it from.
by Anonymous14 years ago
So punny :D
by Anonymous14 years ago
Some old guy quotes it ages ago, seriously you'd think that people would come up with their own stuff to put on this website?
by Anonymous14 years ago
(Heidi.): First of all, while that statement may be true, what I assume you're trying to say is incorrect.
"Some old guy" was Bertrand Russel, I'm not taking credit for his idea and at least I actually know who it was.
Also, he didn't "quotes" it (by the way, the proper grammar is "quoted"), he wrote it.
Not only that, I didn't even quote it, because I paraphrased it.
Either way, the idea came across, (and guess what, it's also been up probably longer than you've known about this site, and made it to the top posts page) and I beg of you, if you're going to try to correct me, do it right, so I don't have to correct you.

Great Quote
by Anonymous14 years ago
i Dont get it???
by Anonymous14 years ago
by Anonymous14 years ago
As I read this post, I was thinking, "Yeah, it pretty much shows who's remaining." Then after a few seconds passed I was thinking "Hey, left's the opposite of right!" hahaha
by Anonymous14 years ago
Winston Churchill said that.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Originally Bertrand Russel. Quoted by Winston Churchill and then, yes, later on, quoted by Call Of Duty.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Thanks for the clarification. :D
by Anonymous14 years ago
No problem c:
by Anonymous14 years ago
you should post hat as a follow up for all the assholes claiming it was from MW2
by Anonymous14 years ago
^ good idea, you're awesome
by Anonymous14 years ago
It is from Call of Duty, duh... it is better than modern warfare.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Omfg. I can't tell if you're joking or if you /really/ think a 2009 Activision video game team that promotes war actually, collectively possesses views as absolutely liberal as this, not to mention the ability to come up with this quote.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I am joking.
But haw can you say war=conservative and peace=liberal. Leaders do whatever is in their own self interest (it should be whatever is necessary for the country.)
by Anonymous14 years ago
My bad, my bad.
Anyway, I'm not saying war = conservative, peace = liberal, and I never mentioned world leaders, however liberals are more likely to, and I quote, "bring our soldiers home"
by Anonymous14 years ago
You shouldn't be calling them idiots if you wrote Winston "Church"....
by Anonymous14 years ago
It's a typo; if you read any comments I made reffering to him, it says Winston Churchill. So yes, contrary to what you might think, I have the right to call anybody anything of the sort.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Best post ever
by Anonymous14 years ago
'amileft?' would be more appropriate.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Best comment ^

War is the failure to agree to disagree
by Anonymous9 years ago
It shows us who's to blame for sending people to their deaths. No one's right, no one wins either.
