Have we forgotten so soon that Trump instigated and egged on the insurrection and outright rebellion that killed 5 people and embarrassed our country before the whole world on 01/06/21? Why he is not in prison is a wonder to all thinking people, and a black eye to all true, freedom loving people. A vote for Trump or one of his minions is a vote against democracy!
I have never heard such unmitigated b.s.! Children are a blessing no matter how they are arrive. It is shocking to me that we, as a society, are supposedly "pro-life" while the baby is in the womb, but the minute he or she is born, that same baby has to fend for themselves ?! THAT is the true sin!
First of all, lets get a few things straight. 1. Afghanistan fell so fast because the Afghan army, which we spent so much time and money on training these past many years, apparently couldn't "grow a pair" to fight for their own freedom even a little bit. It is always good to help people to be free, but they have to want it and show that they want it by their active and enthusiastic participation. Apparently, Viet Nam taught us nothing. 2. The border is a challenge that Trump didn't do anything about either. Instead of making it harder for the people trying to get here, we need to get on the corrupt governments that they are trying to leave. 3. Vaccine and mask mandates are needed because we are in a pandemic that kills people. The evidence points to the fact that people cannot be trusted to do what is needed on their own. Trump is responsible for over 600,000 plus deaths that could have been avoided. He is also responsible for the attack on our democracy 01/06/21.
You are still rich, even by todays crappy economy. When you hit $0, then start whining!
While you are correct in saying that 4 year olds cannot get the vaccine, the problem is that, largely because of the unvaccinated, the SPREAD is killing so many, especially children! Until we all get on board with getting vaccinated and wearing masks, there will be further variants with even more destructive rates of spread. What needs to stop is this ridiculous distrust of science, medicine, and anything the government provides or mandates. We should have had this well under control or even diminishing by now. So, indeed, we ALL need to keep studying real, proven, science, hygiene, nutrition, and exercise, and quit listening to Tucker Carlson, or those promoting Ivermectin. Also, we ARE our brother's (and sister's) keepers because this is also a PUBLIC HEALTH issue an not a so-called "my rights" issue.
Only if you are a Trump supporter.
Those of us so-called "stupid" or "obnoxious" people are that way because: 1. We have some serious immune compromised conditions and can't afford to be unprepared for whatever while enjoying the outdoors. 2. We don't want to, unknowingly, pass on sickness to someone we happen to stop and talk with. 3. We might encounter some other "stupid" and "obnoxious" people who have chosen not to wear their masks.
When are we going to realize that real freedom comes with responsibilities to others as well as to ourselves? Also, why do we fight so hard against the three things, that if practiced, can save our lives and get us out of this pandemic: vaccination, mask wearing, social distancing, avoiding events that involve large gatherings, and hand washing?
Frankly, if more of us knelt more often, the God that we think is blessing us and approving of what we do, might actually do so!
I can think of no one more in dire need of long term treatment for addiction disorders of virtually every kind (attention, authority, so on) than Trump! And someone actually wants to elevate ANYTHING he says as valid, important, and intelligent?! No way!
Keep in mind that, in Heaven, there will be no sickness or death (Revelation 21:4). Since a sociopath is defined as: :"...a term used to describe someone who has antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). People with ASPD can’t understand others’ feelings. They’ll often break rules or make impulsive decisions without feeling guilty for the harm they cause." they would not be there. Also, while there may be so-called Christians who behave this way, true Christians do not. Having said that, we must also remember not to classify Christians as sociopaths simply because they teach and live their faith.
Teddy Roosevelt actually did have a falling out of sorts with the Republicans of his day, but, he was nowhere near as problematic as Trump. Reagan raised taxes at least 3 times, maybe 4 early in his presidency. What has happened to the GOP is a crying shame because of Trump.
I speak of the Republican SYSTEM of governance, or what has become their philosophy since Trump has arrived on the scene because, so far, the "good" Republicans haven't sufficiently distanced themselves from what has become a cult. This, at least to me, IS different from the different factions of Islam, Judaism, or Christianity because they, as a whole, have not been tainted by their extreme elements. The Republican party had the chance to "dump Trump" in 2016 when the ROC chair, Reinhold Richard "Reince" Priebus' who was actually quite wary of Trump's qualifications, should have revoked his party membership when he seriously spoke of forcing all Muslims to leave the United States. They were too afraid of Trump then running as an independent just like Ross Perot did in 1992 and split the Republican party then, giving Bill Clinton the election.
These days, what passes for so-called conservatism is really nothing more than radical-right thinking. True conservatism involves many things. Some of which are: 1. Education and life experiences that support what we think, say, and do. 2. Standing strong for what we believe while not trying to force others to do the same simply because we say so. 3. Standing strong for what we believe while actually being less boisterous about it. 4. Standing strong for what we believe while actually allowing others to do the same whether we agree with them or not and believing that their position is just as valid as ours. The list goes on but, you get the idea.
