So.. A simple bill for Congress to vote on:
1. Border Control, The US Military and DARPA, shall be funded for one year up to 100 billion Dollars to completely secure the southern border of the US.
And assure people are only coming through legal checkpoints.
There is no 2. That’s it. Whole bill left vague. Let the professionals do what they do best. amirite?
Maybe somebody here smarter than me can clarify upon this... WTF does a “Conducter” do during a symphony? Seems to me like he just waves a stick in the air.. and pretty sure all the musicians are pretty freaking familiar with what they are playing. If you watch a Symphony, very few of the musicians are even looking up at any point.. much less to see the “Conducter”. amirite?

There always seems to be a fly buzzing around his head. :)

Often wondered that!

Of course it would never get through Pelosi's House.
The Democrats would never vote to have their source of future votes cut off.

What will never cease to irritate you?

People who make up lies about the President. You know who you are.

What will never cease to irritate you?

People who will not will listen to facts since they have already made their mind up.

What will never cease to irritate you?

People who use all kinds of fancy gadgets on their cars, yet REFUSE to use their turn signals. no smilie

It’s funny how you can hate doing a job for a long time.. Until you get really, really good at it. Then you can actually enjoy it. Amirite?

True! I think it's that progression from frustration to confidence. a smilie

And when you get really good, then it's time to retire.

I think I live in a pretty good sized city. About 168,000 people. It takes a good while to drive across town. Looking around, there are a whole lot of people. That being said.. New reports say 268,000 people have been arrested in the US this year for illegal immigration. Yup since January. That population dwarves the population of my whole city. Then that’s just the number of people who got caught. Wonder what percentage got through? This isn’t a National Emergency? Really? amirite?
@DW2 Ok.. then how about tranquilizer darts, with tracking devices fired from drones, in a half mile wide “Probably...

The wall should be built. I've linked valid law for utilizing the military to build it. A spokesman for the military is on record agreeing.

I have reservations about declaring a state of emergency. Not because I do not realize the need for action. Because actions already allowable under current law haven't been tapped.

People calling each other racists at the drop of a hat or using the race card even quicker than that.

When you think about it, there are only 4 states that have a higher population than the number of illegals in this country.

In late January Rep. Brooks questioned the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy about existing law (10 U.S.C. § 284) that would enable Trump to use the military to build border barriers without declaring a national emergency. The Undersecretary stated that yes, he thought that Trump could do that.

Now I do not know if this avenue was looked into by the Trump administration or not, but I did not see much coverage on it beyond Brooks press release, the video posted on his YT channel, and one local news channel. It is possible it was looked into and found to be problematic, but the law appears to be pretty clear. Of course, I assume that whichever route Trump chose, that it would end up in court.

I am leery of states of emergency being declared, by any president. Trump, and several Rs in Congress, seemed very keen to declare a state of emergency. But is it truly necessary? If not, then such a declaration should not be used. From what I can see, it is not necessary, and the president is well within the law to use military funds, resources, and personnel.

As always...JMHO
