You wonder if babies and very small children understand the concept of growing or if they just think they're going to be small forever, amirite?

When I was younger, I always felt like I was the same height. Like, I'd be told that I grew, but I wouldn't feel taller or anything. It wasn't until 4th grade when I went back into one of the 1st grade classrooms that I really noticed it. But, then again, I was a strange child.

It's great you know a lot about grammar, but there is no real reason to harrass people about it on the internet. As long as the person's message is conveyed properly, there really is no problem. Grammar only really matters in professional writing so you seem smart. It's fine to not use proper grammar, but don't type like an idiot either, amirite?

@ctiscooler harass not to http://ctrlv.in/97216 (I'm an asshole.)

Ah, I see. Thanks!
In the school district I grew up in, we never had a proper grammar lesson. I never learned any of these rules until I had to take a grammar course in college. Even then, the college professors tell me all the time that many of the grammar rules are a load of bullshit XD

@Wunderscore Your/you're used to bug me endlessly, but as long as you can communicate efficiently it really doesn't matter.

I think it bothers a lot of people because we're taught it when we're very young. It's like "How do you forget that?"

Don't get me wrong. People make mistakes. Hell, I know I've done it by accident before.

Also, I just took a class for teaching where I was basically taught that traditional grammar is a load of shit because it's based off of Latin, and that we shouldn't freak out if a student, say, splits an infinitive.

Oops XD
I have failed as an English Major.
On another note, I never learned that you had to put it as "not to" rather than "to not." What rule would that be?

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others, amirite?
It sucks when you read a book that you enjoyed but then it becomes really famous, the book is stretched into a series and then a movie. Suddenly it has all these annoying crazy fans that make you resent the book you initially liked E.g. The hunger games, amirite?
@Weirdly enough, I actually liked the Twilight series when I first read it (in seventh or eighth grade). Then the...

Thank you for posting that. I was going to say the same thing, but I was afraid I'd get yelled at.

It's naive to think that your relationship with your boyfriend or girlfriend is so special that it's going to last forever when you're just in high school or middle school. High school and middle school dating is good for learning how to have a good relationship and it's good for exploring what you like in a person, but to expect your relationship to last forever at that age...ridiculous. amirite?

I don't think anyone should expect their relationship to last, but if it does, then good for them.

They say Shakespeare was an expert in the concept of "love", but in reality, being married to someone he didn't love and only married because he got her pregnant, and then cheating on her all the time with different women shows the contrary, amirite?
Harry Potter is the chosen one and his 3 relationships are with Cho, the indian chick at the dance, and Ginny. He could have any chick in the magical world. Come on bro step up your game. amirite?
Americans: Since the title of the first Harry Potter was changed to "Sorcerer's Stone", you wonder if someone had to go through the entire book just to change the name every time it's mentioned, amirite?

I remember someone telling me that they changed a lot of the books for the American audience. They "Americanized" most of the text, except for the dialogues. I could be wrong though.

Some Spongebob episodes are really creepy and disturbing, amirite?
@Titts_McGee Spongebob was origanally meant to be an adult show but it attracted the younger audience!

No, it wasn't. Adult Swim wanted to make their own version of it, but the creator of Spongebob wouldn't let them.

"Where art thou Romeo?" Probably sitting on his ass somewhere playing xbox, amirite?

I'm so glad we're all so smart. _^
But a lot of teachers teach it as it meaning "where are you"

And I still found the joke funny. I just might have to use this line if I ever have to teach this play. XD

Video games based off of movies always suck crap, amirite?

The Lion King and Aladdin video games for the SNES were awesome though. But yes, usually they are horrible.
