If you had $1,000,000 how would you change the world?

Honestly if I had a million dollars I would pay off my house, all credit cards and take a few years off work. :). If that million was strictly dedicated to making the world a better place I would use half of it for marketing, travel, and employment to start a "Karma Fund". There are reportedly 196 countries in the world right now. I would send a team of eight people individually to the fifty poorest countries on the planet. I would give each person a week in each country to find a person who is completely selfless and does good things for people just because they want to. When they find that person they hand over $10,000. I would search for donors for the program so that it could expand into something amazing. Just a thought. :)

Have you ever cried when finishing a book? A song? Has anything anybody has ever written made you happy? Made you wonder? Made you want to explore worlds that only exist in the mind (maybe)? Isn't that the definition of art?

What bugs me most about English is the way words can be spelled the same but pronounced differently; I don't know of any other language that allows that. Things like "bow" and "bow", "read" and "read", etc.

I remember looking at the rainbow when I was like eight and saying "whoa, if you take the first letter of each color you get some guy names Roy G. Biv!" Then I told others and figured out that the device already existed and I wasn't special.

Because someone's blog is reliable *sarcasm*, and fewer jobs were lost?!?! WTF? So that's why unemployment continues to rise at unbelievable rates? You make so much sense! Get your facts straight! http://www.usdebtclock.org/ look that up! I did get my facts wrong, now it's 13 trillion. so please FACTS or GTFO!

Holy shit you're an idiot. There's a difference between the FEDERAL defecit (the one run by the government that's been at around 1.5 trillion since 2005ish) and the NATIONAL defecit, which is the 13 trillion one you're talking about. HUR DUR DUR. You also don't seem to understand subtraction. You take the number to jobs that would have been lost and subtract the number of jobs that were actually lost. Accordig to economists across the board, there would be 8.5 million MORE people unemployed without the stimulus, bailout, and lowering of interest rates. So yes, jobs were still lost, but not nearly as many as there could have been. Now that we've gone over subtraction, do you want to try to learn shapes?

You can't be sure what would have happened without Obama's failure of a stimulus package. I'm not arguing with a sarcastic deuche, I have a life and not enough time to explain to you the way the economy works, maybe if YOU had a major in political economics you would understand. But unfortunately not everyone can be as intelligent as me :(

If YOU had a major in political economics you'd understand the difference between the federal and national defecit. That's a very basic thing. And when 99% of economists say something, it's likely to be correct or at least close to it. You've clearly demonstrated that you're NOT intelligent with your last few comments, but I'll recap to make sure it gets through your thick skull:
A. You thought that Obama made the economy worse when anyone who wants to major in political economics should know that the economy crashed way before he took office and started to improve as soon as his policies took effect
B. You don't seem to understand that hypothetical scenarios about what would have happened are a part of every peice of legislation
C. You didn't know the difference between the federal and national defecit, which was especially idiotic because you were confident enough in your knowledge to make a complte **** out of yourself.

I kinda always fantasized being in the hunger games myself and winning. And going insane and killing people in the most disgusting ways possible and wearing their body parts as rotting jewelry.
