Back in the day, poor people were usually leaner than the rich. The former grew their own food and whatnot. Plumpness was a sign of wealth. Today, however, in some places, it seems the roles have switched. Poor people are more likely to be overweight because many foods in their price range are pretty unhealthy. This switch is something to think about, amirite?
So many fashion / lifestyle magazines are ridiculous. On one page they tell you to "love yourself" and "be who you are", on the next page they tell you that "you MUST buy this" and how you need to be thinner and look younger, amirite?
It'd be cool if every time you said an answer after a teacher called on you, the rest of the class would clap and say "Good answer!" at random intervals no matter how unfathomably stupid what you just said was, amirite?
Being an atheist is okay. Being an atheist and shaming religions and spirituality as silly and not real is not okay. Being a Christian is okay. Being homophobic, misogynistic, racist or an otherwise hateful person and blaming it on your religion is not okay. Being a reindeer is okay. Bullying and excluding another reindeer because he has a shiny red nose is not okay, amirite?
As much as we love to hate Canada, we have to admit that they've got their shit together. Stable economy, peaceful foreign relations, stable government, free healthcare, and polar bears. Maybe we're just envious, amirite?
